This Client Service Agreement ("Agreement") is between The Fragrance-Free Cleaning Co., LLC ("Company") and the person booking services ("Client") for residential cleaning services in Ventura County, California. By booking a cleaning, accepting a written quote, or signing below, the Client agrees to these terms.
1. Scope of Service
- The service type (weekly, every 2 weeks, every 3 weeks, monthly, move-in/move-out, or one-time clean), the cleaning level, the rooms and areas included, and any extras are those agreed at booking or in a written quote.
- All cleaning is performed with the Company's fragrance-free, unscented product protocol by default. A Client-approved natural essential oil scent may be added on request, after a pet and sensitivity check.
- Any task outside the Company's documented scope (see Section 8) will be flagged to the Client rather than attempted, and may be referred to a specialist.
- Cleaning levels. Each visit is performed at the level selected. Standard (regular visits): kitchen counters, sink, stovetop, microwave, appliance exteriors, cabinet fronts and floor; bathroom toilet, tub/shower, sink, mirror, floor and drains; dusting of surfaces, wiping of high-touch surfaces, and vacuuming and mopping of all floors; baseboards spot-checked; trash removed.
- Deeper Clean (one-time refresh or first clean): everything in Standard, plus detailed scrubbing of the stovetop and sink; grout scrubbing, hard-water descaling and showerhead cleaning in the bathrooms; detailed dusting including ceiling fans; and baseboards wiped throughout.
- Full Deep Clean (seasonal clean, or a home not professionally cleaned in a long time): a more extensive clean quoted individually, with the scope confirmed in writing before booking.
- Extras such as the inside of the oven, interior windows, blinds, cabinets, pet hair and the inside of the refrigerator are priced separately and confirmed with the Client before the visit. Tasks outside the selected cleaning level are not performed unless added as an extra.
2. Pricing and Payment
- The price for each visit is the amount quoted or shown at booking, based on the size of the home and the type of clean. The minimum price for any visit is $110.
- Recurring maintenance visits include a time allowance based on the size of the home, stated at booking. The cleaner works within this time and prioritizes the agreed tasks for the selected cleaning level.
- If the Client wants additional tasks or extra time during a visit, the Company will confirm it with the Client first and add it as an extra at a rate agreed in advance. The first visit at a new home may take longer and is priced as quoted.
- Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. The accepted payment methods are those stated at booking.
- Promotional offers, including the new-client discount, apply only as described when the offer is made and only to the first clean unless stated otherwise.
- Pricing may be adjusted for recurring Clients with at least 30 days' advance written notice.
- For homes outside the Company's service area, a travel fee may apply and will be confirmed with the Client before the visit is scheduled.
3. Scheduling, Cancellation and Lateness
- The Client is asked to give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
- The Company does not currently charge a cancellation fee. The Company may introduce a cancellation fee for repeated late cancellations or repeated missed access, after giving the Client written notice.
- If the Company needs to cancel or reschedule a scheduled cleaning, it will give the Client at least 24 hours' notice where possible. If the Company cancels with less than 24 hours' notice, the Client will be offered a complimentary cleaning.
- If the Company needs to reschedule or substitute a cleaner (for example because of illness or emergency), it will notify the Client as soon as possible and offer the next available appointment.
- The Company will arrive within the scheduled window. If the cleaner is running more than 10 minutes late, the Company will notify the Client directly.
4. Home Access
- The Client will tell the Company how it will access the home (Client present, lockbox, smart lock code, hidden key, or other).
- Access codes and keys are used only for the scheduled cleaning visit and are not recorded or shared beyond what is necessary for the assigned cleaner to complete the job.
- If the Company cannot access the home at the scheduled time, it will contact the Client to reschedule.
5. Pets
- The Client will disclose any pets in the home, including any relevant sensitivities, before the first visit.
- If an essential oil scent is requested, the Company will confirm that it is appropriate for any pets present before using it.
6. Damage, Breakage and 48-Hour Satisfaction Guarantee
- The Company carries general liability insurance. Any accidental damage should be reported to the Company within 48 hours of the visit.
- 48-hour satisfaction guarantee: if the Client is not satisfied with any aspect of the cleaning, the Company will return to re-clean the specific concern at no additional charge, provided it is reported within 48 hours of the visit. The guarantee covers work within the selected cleaning level and does not cover tasks outside that level or situations listed under Scope Limitations.
7. Products Used
- The Company uses fragrance-free, unscented products as its standard: Branch Basics plant- and mineral-based cleaners (all-purpose, glass and bathroom), hydrogen peroxide, citric acid and baking soda, along with select fragrance-free commercial products as needed.
- The Company will not substitute scented or undisclosed products without the Client's knowledge.
8. Scope Limitations
The Company's standard protocol does not cover: mold remediation, restoration-level grease buildup, biohazard or bodily-fluid cleanup beyond routine cleaning, severely calcified fixtures, pest-related residue, or severely stained or blackened grout requiring resealing. These situations will be flagged to the Client, with a referral to a specialist where appropriate.
9. Term and Termination
This Agreement remains in effect until either party ends it with at least 14 days' written notice, or immediately if the other party materially breaches it. For a one-time service, the Agreement ends when the service is completed and paid for.
10. General
- This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.
- This Agreement, together with any written quote or booking confirmation, is the entire agreement between the parties about the services. Changes must be in writing, including by email or text confirmed by both parties.
- If any part of this Agreement cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect.
Signing is optional for online bookings: by completing a booking or accepting a written quote, the Client accepts these terms.
