This policy covers fragrancefreecleaning.com, run by The Fragrance-Free Cleaning Co., LLC in Ventura County, California. It explains what we collect when you get a price, book a cleaning or create an account, why we collect it, and who else sees it.
1. What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and the address of the home we clean.
- Details about your home: square footage, bedrooms and bathrooms, the type of clean and extras you choose, and any notes you give us.
- Pets and sensitivities: what you tell us about pets in the home and any fragrance or chemical sensitivities, so we can plan the visit around them.
- How we get in: the access method you choose, such as a lockbox or smart lock. We don't store access codes on this site.
- Your account: your sign-in email and a protected (hashed) version of your password, plus your booking history.
- Payment details: card payments are handled by Stripe. Your full card number goes to Stripe and never reaches our server. We keep only what Stripe returns to us, such as the card brand, the last four digits and the expiration date, so you can recognize the card on file.
- Technical information: our server records the IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
The price calculator doesn't save anything you enter.
2. How we use it
- To give you a price, schedule and confirm your cleaning, and send confirmations and reminders.
- To charge for completed visits, issue refunds and send receipts.
- To contact you about your booking, for example if we're running late or need to reschedule.
- To keep the site and your account secure.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
3. Who else sees it
- Our cleaners, who see what they need for your visit: your address, the services booked, how to get in, and notes about pets and sensitivities.
- Stripe, which processes card payments and sends payment receipts. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the information you give on its payment page.
- Amazon Web Services, which hosts this site and sends our emails.
- Anyone the law requires us to share it with, such as in response to a valid legal request.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use only the cookies this site needs to work: one that keeps you signed in and one that protects forms from forgery. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and no other companies collect information about your activity on this site.
Because we don't track you across other websites, we have nothing to change when your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.
5. Reviewing, correcting or deleting your information
Sign in to your account to review and update your contact details and see your bookings. To get a copy of your information, correct something you can't change yourself, or ask us to delete your account, call or text (805) 830-2864.
We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them for taxes and accounting, even after an account is deleted.
6. How we protect it
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only in hashed form, staff accounts use two-step sign-in, and card details are held by Stripe rather than by us.
7. Children
This site is for adults booking cleaning for their homes. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll also email account holders before it takes effect.
